Standing Military Bar Press

Setup

Grasp barbell from rack or clean barbell from the floor with a slightly wider than shoulder width overhand grip. Position bar on top of chest in front of neck.

Movement Instructions

Press bar upward until arms are fully extended overhead. Lower to front of chest and repeat.

Comments

Stand upright and keep back straight throughout the exercise, do not lean back with torso to help. Do not bounce at the bottom of the movement or bend at knees or hips to help movement with momentum.
