Standing Hip Stretch

Setup

Stand with your feet just slightly apart and hands at your sides.

Movement Instructions

Take a big step forward with one leg, then lower the hips down, keeping the torso upright over the hips and balancing weight on the ball of the back foot. Lean hips forward to extend the stretch while keeping the back straight, hold, then return to the starting position, switch legs and repeat.

Comments

Do not lean so far forward that your knee travels past your toe, rather push the hips down and forward in order to exaggerate the stretch.
