Laying Leg Over Low Back Stretch

Laying Leg Over Low Back Stretch

Setup

Lie on your back with legs straight on the ground and arms at your sides.

Movement Instructions

Bend one leg and raise it in towards your chest and grab it with the opposite hand, then bring your knee across your body past the opposite hip. Push your knee down towards the ground, while keeping the other leg straight on the ground with toes up, and the same shoulder as the bent leg staying against the ground. Hold, then switch legs and repeat.

Comments

Try to keep both shoulders on the ground, you can extend the other arm out to the side to help. Pulling the leg higher up towards the shoulder will stretch the glute/IT more, while pushing it more towards the ground will stretch the lower back more.
