Dumbbell Steps Ups

Setup

Stand facing the middle of a step/bench set to a height between 8-18 inches holding dumbbells at your sides in each hand.

Movement Instructions

Raise one foot and place it on the step/bench in front, then push off of that leg extending the hip, knee and ankle raising the body up, placing the other foot up on the step next to the first foot. Step down from the step/bench to the starting position, then step up with the same leg and repeat. Complete set, then switch legs and repeat the exercise.

Comments

Make sure to push up with the first leg up on the step/bench and do not push off of the back leg or bounce to assist. Push your body all the way up onto the step/bench before placing the other foot down alongside.
