Barbell Front Squat

Setup

Standing in a power rack with barbell upper chest height, position bar on front of shoulders with elbows bent, hands under the bar and upper arms parallel to floor. Dismount bar from rack, moving away from the rack and standing with feet slightly wider than shoulder width.

Movement Instructions

Bend knees forward while allowing hips to bend back behind keeping back straight and knees pointed same direction as feet. Descend until thighs are just past parallel. Extend knees and raise hips until legs are straight. Return and repeat.

Comments

Keep head facing forward, back straight and feet flat on floor, equal distribution of weight through fore foot and heel.
